What's the story?
A baby is stolen from poor parents who were farming the fields at that time.She was raised by her forster parents for the sake of keeping inheritance of the family.The scenerio of the movie is beautifully chosen from the slumbers where poverity is portrayed prevalent in turkish society. It is kind of niche where thieves live, they help eachother in making both end meets.
Main part of the story revolves around the matter of marriage. Zelis (kidnapped girl) is about to start a new life that was arranged by her forster parents. But she is not willing to live this life, in a world she does not belongs.
This story is like a fairytale like a usual ones. It is about Zarok , hero of the movie who kidnapped a girl in Edirne many years ago ,causing a sudden grief for the family. After passing years , whole scene changes,Zarok grw up. He got a chance to ease his conscience and to remove his sense of guilt. So after many trials, he again kidnapped a girl and took her to her real family. This led a long loving adventure.
My review:
This movie is like a fairytale with uncriical ideas just like disney movies that shows colors,romance,rich and poor classes,childhood and youth etc.I have watched this movie with english subtitles however some of the things that made me confuse regarding the story are; Is the lady in eyepatch is a villain of the story. Did she wants to be a mother or did she was indulge in child abduction.How she became the good character in the end. Why Zelis parents did'nt get mad at Zarok who was the sole reason of her abduction.
